INVESTIGATING WRITING CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED BY SAUDI EFL LEARNERS

This study aimed at investigating the types of writing tasks produced by Saudi EFL learners. It also exploring challenges encountered those students. The sample this consists (261) students enrolled in ENG (011). were randomly chosen from three different colleges: college business, medicine, and engineering. researcher used a questionnaire with (13) items asking about faced during tasks. results revealed that most frequently essays for exams, synthesis, reflection papers. ‘organizing paragraphs’, ‘using proper connections transitions’, ‘inability to keep flow’ frequent reported present provided some recommendations pedagogical implications policymakers curriculum designers take action an attempt avoid or lessen these challenges.
